John O'Connor, PT, CSCS - Owner
John graduated from The University of Pennsylvania's Physical Therapy program in 1980 after completing his undergraduate degree at Villanova University.
He started Palos Verdes Physical Therapy in 1985 and has been a successful owner treating orthopedic clients for over 27 years. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a member of the NSCA, he has a strong interest in sports and performance enhancement for youth, high school, college, and weekend athletes. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (Orthopedic, Sports, & Private Practice Sections). In order to keep up on the latest advances in Physical Therapy he continually attends lectures and stays current with the latest journals and research.
John takes pride in educating his patients and empowering them to achieve their functional goals. John enjoys most sports including Baseball, Football, Soccer, & Golf. He is interested in computers, music, and spending free time with his family.
Don Rosas, DPT - Physical Therapist
Don began treating patients at Palos Verdes Physical Therapy in 2006 after earning a doctorate of physical therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Don has been working in the physical therapy profession since graduating with an undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 1996. A few of the capacities in which he has been involved in include skilled nursing facilities, inpatient and outpatient hospitals, and orthopaedic private practices.
Coming from an athletic oriented background, Don understands the hardships of injury and the need for recovery. He instills those same ideas in his philosophy which is to empower his patients with the knowledge and keys to be successful with rehabilitation and to achieve a higher standard of functional performance.
Don enjoys spending time with his wife, running, lifting weights and surfing.
Courtney Jump, MPT
Courtney graduated from UC Davis in 2004 with her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Biology and a minor in Psychology. While attending school she was also a member of the UC Davis track and field team, competing as a long and triple jumper and as a sprinter. During college she was employed as a gymnastics coach following her own 8 year career as a competitive gymnast. Then she attended Cal State University Northridge graduating with her Master's in Physical Therapy. She worked as a personal trainer at both 24 Hour Fitness and L.A. Fitness while finishing the PT program and continued until she joined Palos Verdes Physical Therapy in 2008.
With her background in sports and as a member of NSCA, she is strongly interested in sports rehabilitation and athletic performance. She enjoys encouraging patients to achieve their maximum capabilities, helping them to return to the work, social and athletic activities that make life meaningful. With APTA membership, she plans to stay connected to the profession, continuing her education to specialize in orthopaedics. This specialization will enhance her ability to achieve the quality outcomes she aspires to attain with all her patients.
Courtney keeps healthy by participating in community races and triathlons, and lifting weights at the gym. She also enjoys line dancing and karaoke with her friends, and wine-tasting trips with her family.
